How We Began

2017

Having both always wanted to run our own business, when our time was coming to an end in Dublin we began brainstorming on what we could do to make a living in Connemara.

We both love food but didn't have enough resources to buy or rent a kitchen to operate from. Having seen the food truck movement in the states we thought that we could do something similar here while focusing on good coffee and simple, fresh and tasty food.

We searched done deal for second-hand food trucks within our budget, found one that hit the mark and just went for it. With a lot of help from friends and family, we managed to open up in time for Easter  2017.

Where We are Now

2019

Now going into our third season, the time has come when we have outgrown the original truck and need a bigger space to prepare and cook in. Our answer is a 20ft, second-hand container which we are converting into a kitchen on wheels.

With the addition of a looped coastal path at Killary Adventure we decided to move into this car park which is 50m down from our original location, so people can go for a stroll along the shore and finish off with a bite to eat and a cup of coffee with us.  Pictures to come....

Our Story

How does one come to set up a food truck in the middle of nowhere? Love of food, Connemara and each other.

Starting small with very few food and drink options we wanted to focus on doing what we did well and growing from there.

We had outgrown the original truck and needed a bigger space to prepare and cook in. Our answer was a 20ft, second-hand container which we converted into a kitchen on wheels. The design is funky, unique and in keeping with our style.

With the addition of a looped coastal path at Killary Adventure Center, we decided to move the location to this car park which is 50m down from our original location.

Where We are Now

2023

Our team has grown but our ethos stays the same. We have developed into an outdoor eatery that still offers a small but mighty menu focusing on local produce cooked in creative and flavor-forward ways.

Our sustainability practices have now become an area of development within the business alongside our food. We are trying to reduce our impact on the environment by focusing on creating a circular waste loop within our business.

This will be achieved through the purchase of an industrial composter which will take all of our food and packaging waste and turn it into compost. We have also purchased a dry loo system which will eliminate the need for chemical toilets on site. For more information get in touch with Kim.
